Jamaica's legendary tonic root — hand-picked, river-cleaned, ready for you.
Jamaican Chaney Root (Smilax balbisiana), also known as Cocolmeca, is one of Jamaica's most beloved traditional tonic roots. Hand-picked from the rich hills of middle Jamaica and cleaned by fresh rivers flowing through the countryside, this root is a staple ingredient in classic Jamaican herbal tonics. We've prepared it in chips and powder form so it's easy to brew and use right away.
Often paired with Sarsaparilla Root for maximum results — a time-tested Jamaican combination.
